"I would like to take this occasion to praise Mr. Shakil Sheikh for the understanding and help that he rendered me on this past Saturday. I walked to the Westchase Exxon station on Wilcrest and Westheimer after my car was towed from a shopping center near the Virginia Slim's tennis tournament at the Westside Tennis Club on Wilcrest. I parked in front of a vacant store and didn't notice the difficult to see "no parking signs". Of course, it was designed this way so that the manager of the plaza and the wrecking companies could make money. The manager of a cleaners in the plaza told me that 45 cars have been towed on Friday. Who knows how many were towed on Saturday and Sunday? When I went back on Sunday to photograph the area, a couple of tow trucks were busy towing away two cars. Not only did they tow my car, but they stored it in a wreckin yard so that I had to pay for the towing and storage. Mr. Sheikh was very understanding and even had one of his employees drive me to the storage lot where I paid $84.06 in cash and retreived my car.
